LBD by Day

I bought this little black cocktail dress for last New Year's Eve, and it's been collecting dust ever since. In an attempt to make it more casual and daytime-friendly, I layered it over a plain white tee and added a scarf, belt, bangles and ankle boots. Do you think it works, or does the eveningwear stick out like a sore thumb?

    I think you shouldn't have worn the scarf and maybe a pair of high heels instead of the ankle boots. But, I love the dress over the shirt!

    Very nice. Great way to wear an evening dress. I may have to punk this idea as I have a lot of eveningwear that sits forlorn between galas...and since I have zero galas...

    I kinda LOVE it! I just ordered a bridesmaid dress that looks really similar to your dress and am already trying to come up with ways to wear it after the wedding. Might have to try your version!
