Hammer Time
These balloony trousers resurfaced during my recent move. I've had them for months but never wear them. While fabulous in theory, they have a litany of problems. They're intolerably unflattering from behind (I didn't show you on purpose). They are made from a starchy fabric that bunches in weird ways. They attract lint like nobody's business. (I made the mistake of going bath mat shopping in them!) Anyway, you get the idea. Despite their multitudinous issues, I felt good in them today.

I like the pleat details and despite the fact that you said something negative about the fabric, it looks good slightly wrinkled like that. I would have liked to see them paired with something fluttery and printed instead, but still a great outfit.
Despite all its shortcomings the pants look good in the picture. I like the top you paired them with
Love ur necklace! Very chic :)

Despite all their issues :) they look great on you!!! Love that necklace!
I like that you paired your "hammer" pants with a one-shoulder tank top, which is very 1990s reminiscent to me. I'm also really digging the accessories here: the shades, purse, and shoes. They all bring it back to a modern-day fashion sensibility. So great!
Too bad they don't wear well. They look great from the front!!:)
This is such a genius way to rock the pleated pants. I have a pair and you've totally inspired me.
I understand the rear view lol...I have some and I hate that about them!
its pretty awesome that even though they're so unwearable you can manage to make them still look fabulous. kudos to you indeed
they really do wear well on the front side! i abhor the stretchy cotton yoga pant type hammer pants that took over the blogosphere for awhile, but i like the more structured pairs like yours!
awesome outfit.
Bet you felt good because they look amaaazing with all your chic accessories! I own a pair of sorta-ugly Ralph Lauren brown silk pants that I keep because, well, they're Ralph Lauren, and silk (and they were a gift, and I hate getting rid of gifts). They look good with practically nothing in my wardrobe... so I just pair them with a cute top, lotsa jewelry, serious heels, and hope for the best!
