I'm still living out of boxes and only squeezed in four hours of sleep, so I was a little bleary-eyed and disjointed when I tossed on this outfit before work. Not my best work, but not half bad considering. I just love the ruffly, bib-like detail and the yellow shoes with the sky blue. So sunny and sweet. So Kansas.

Applause is ringing behind me. Why are you so flawless?
You look great! If you've moved does this mean no more street shots on the cobblestones? :(
Love this look!
Thanks, lovelies!

It's true - my new block does not have cobblestones, but there are some just down the street. Perhaps I'll venture down there every now and then for a photo. :)
Gah. That's wonderful. How do you always look so flingin' fab? Love it.
I feel you. Similar stupid questions when you live in DC. Dorothy never rocked a cool denim skirt like that, though. You showed her.
Hehe try being from New Zealand...
That blouse is just too sweet, and the yellow shoes are the perfect touch.
I wish I would come with such great outfits when I am pressed for time. Love the blouse and it looks great with the skirt and the yellow shoes add just the color it needed.
At graduate convocation I was told that Kansas was an exotic state and "You're not in Kansas anymore!!" Hmmph. Reinforcing the stereotype, Katy!
Love love it especially the shoes, you always look so amazing.
This is really cute. Oh how I wish I had the "I'm running late but can still put a great outfit together" power. That would be wonderful!
i am dyin' to go to kansas! one of my friends at school is from lawrence, and it just seems like the neatest place.
i love your blouse - what a fitting tribute to your home state :)

You have to come to Lawrence! I was born and raised here. It's such a cool town. I wonder if I know your friend?
I love that plaid blouse!

I love the denim skirt and that you paired it with a casual light blue blouse. And the yellow shoes are such a nice touch! Great look! clothedmuch.blogspot.com

This is such a gorgeous look! I absolutely love it :)
I love the colors of that shirt, especially paired with the yellow!
i love this look! the ruffled neckline on the blouse is so pretty, and the SHOES are perfect. i can't believe they're from payless!
I own those shoes! They are wonderful!
So Kansas. So cute! As a New Englander, I'm often guilty of dressing a bit too "New England-y," which can be uber-preppy. So what? :P I love a little state pride. Your outfit is too sweet not to rock it. <3
love that top!
