Shirt: Old Navy, $6 // Blazer: Lux, $22 // Skirt: F21, $14 // Necklace: Wildman Vintage, $13 // Shoes: Lela Rose for Payless
When I have to be somewhere early (i.e. work), I try to have at least a vague idea of an outfit the night before. More often than I would like, this planning doesn't happen, which makes for exasperated mornings involving changing multiple times, running late, and feeling dissatisfied with my final ensemble.
But sometimes, just sometimes, everything falls into place. Yesterday was such a morning. I put very little thought into my clothes, left the house (on time) in the first and only look I tried on, and found myself happy with the result.
Staying true to my personal style while dressing appropriately for work can be a fine line to walk, but I thought this look had a nice mixture of color, pattern, texture and layering without being over-the-top.

That yellow is amazing on you! Your last minute outfits are always the best.
I've noticed that you are always satisfied with outfits involving that top.
And I have to agree, that yellow skirt is really cute.
Dont you just love those mornings where ever things falls into place?!! You look awesome. I also agree, that yellow skirt is great!

I love this outfit. That jacket is cool and I love how it goes with the skirt.
the color of your skirt is gorgeous!
Lol, your just like me. I have a faint idea of what i would wear but im normally late to where ever i need to be due to the fact i changed my attire about 5 times before i left. and even when i leave i feel like im not at my best.......
Just thought i was the only one this happens to.
Well the end result for you was good lol.
Keep doing ya thing.

Oh, I love those mornings, and I don't have nearly enough of them. You look fantastic!
I want that shirt SO BADLY!
tiny bows? GORGEOUS. And that yellow is just utterly perfect...
The color of your blazer complements the brightness of your skirt perfectly. Love this entire outfit. It is so YOU!

The drape meets the lapel of your blazer, making the proportion quite keen. Without the popping yellow color of your skirt, the outfit would be borderline mundane- especially with a mellow toned shoe-but it's all pulled together very-well, well.
you look awesome, like you said I love the color pattern and layering!
You look so great(you always look great)! I love that skirt and how you paired the top and blazer with it. You are completely right.. it all mixes together well without being over the top at all.
Hope you have a great weekend!!
