It kind of goes with out saying, but here's another reason I love the season: it's a great excuse to drink cup after cup of this delectable liquid confection. My seasonal beverage regimen progresses roughly as follows: hot cider and chai lattes in the fall, hot chocolate and egg nog during winter and margaritas and grapefruit fizzies (a bit of grapefruit juice + soda water) in the warmer months. And, of course, good coffee and beer all year long.

I was very excited to have hot cocoa today... only it wasn't nearly as chocolatey as I hoped. I have the whole winter to find the perfect hot chocolate, though!
mmm...is that a frankoma mug?

It's actually a handmade tea bowl from a local gallery where I used to work. The artist's name is Jean Meinhardt. Really beautiful pottery!
my boss created this insanely delicious neopolitan hot chocolate recipe at work ... it is SO GOOOOOOD. i have had a cup ever day for two weeks, lol!
That hot cocoa looks so fabulous. I'm freezing here. When I was young my mom used to put chocolate chips into the bottom. Still do, its the only way to drink it.
