Variations on a Theme

Shirt: Alice + Olivia, thrifted, $10 // Jacket: Vintage, thrifted, $12 // Jeans: Guess via TJMaxx, $28 // Shoes: Kenneth Cole, thrifted, $3 // Bracelet: Forever 21, $8

I didn't document much of it on the blog, but for about a week, I wore several versions of the this outfit. Most of the looks incorporated some plaid, this slouchy red knit hat (or another hat) and the two-tone oxfords, with an overall color palette of red, blue, brown and gold. It wasn't intentional; it just felt right at the time. Do you ever focus on a few specific items or even just one piece for blocks of time? I do that a lot. It's like I come up with one ensemble I like and then just keep milking it.

    i do the exact same thing and then i wonder if people just think i'm wearing the same outfit over and over.

    I just purchased a red beret like that. I'm thinking it'll be worn A TON too.

    I do that... like I'll stuck on wearing leggings a lot or over the knee socks.

    I do the exact same thing and then feel bogus taking outfit photos. Sometimes one item just feels perfect for a week. I love the shirt!

    I tend to do that too...kinda like eating the same thing for a week til you get sick of it. Love the plaid jacket and oxfords...what a great find!

    That's so funny! I have been noticing myself doing so lately! I think I have always done so but only notice now that I have been on Weardrobe and have been reading fashion blogs and have been thinking about such things!

    You look fantastic, as always! I love the beret! I am going to get my husband to crochet me one-ivory though I think.

    I'm pretty sure I do that, too, and I don't realize until I go back and look at old blog posts together and then I realize, wow, i must really like said sweater or said pair of shoes ;-)

    I do this all the time, it usually happens when I get something that I LOVE and feel compelled to wear it CONSTANTLY, much to the dismay of my blog. this is a great outfit though!
