With a fresh blanket of snow on the ground and plenty of sunshine, today is a beautiful, sparkly day. Though it feels warmer than the actual temperature, it's still very cold. Lately I feel like I've forgotten how to dress for winter weather. I'm so fixated on what I want to wear for spring, that I end up in ensembles that are either inappropriate or uninspired. Today, I was determined to change that. I layered like I meant it. Hopefully I can find enough inspiration to get through this last bit of winter.
I love this fun outfit! I think it's so great because it totally channels Spring colors and style while being totally winter appropriate.
ReplyDeleteLove your new layout and I love this outfit! The pop of yellow is so fun and so perfect for getting through these last winter months.

Haha, I've been doing the same! I ventured out without tights yesterday when I probably shouldn't have.. but with spring so close and all of the sunshine it's hard to help it! Your belt is really unique, so cool you've had it since high school!
ReplyDeleteI love these tights! I just bought my first mustard colored ones a few days ago. They are great!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you did with the layering of high socks and tights-- but I know all too well about dressing up for confusing weather!

i adore the layering. your yellow tights & studded belt really stand out! i find that i am in the same boat when it comes to finding the right pieces for the last days of winter. i keep hoping i can get away with wearing knee high socks without tights underneath but the weather is just not cooperating!
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same problem but with the seasons reversed. Looking at all these gorgeous Northern Hemisphere blogs I find myself daydreaming about layers and scarves and tights. Oh my!

ReplyDeleteI completely agree. I am so tired of the cold weather and snow. All I can think about is wearing sandals again. I also wanted to say thank you for your tip of going to Maj R Thrift in Topeka. I went this weekend and found a great pair of oxfords. Can't believe I haven't been before now! Posted pictures on my blog. Love reading yours! http://theflipsideofoz.blogspot.com/
