Festive After the Fact

Sweater: Thrifted, $3 // Jean shorts: Old // Boots: Target, gift

I kicked myself when I realized my favorite holiday sweater didn't make it out of storage till after Christmas. Our relationship began humbly when I purchased it for an ugly sweater party for lack of a tackier option. My initial disappointment was quickly replaced by swooning over the shawl collar and classic pattern.

Oh well, it's still winter, so I'm going to wear it with pride. Igby's just lucky I didn't make him wear his holiday best!

    I bought a sweater, too, that was supposed to be "ugly". And then I ended up loving it. Whoops.

    ha... i have more than a few things i've bought for the tacky 'wow' factor that i've ended up loving and incorporating into my regular routine.

    but i love yours. i'd never have considered it an 'ugly sweater.'

    omg....i thrifted the EXACT SAME sweater about 3 weeks ago!!! seriously...exact same. i thought it was more "fair isle-like" than "christmas", until the guy gave it me half off b/c he thought it was christmas-y. then i got all paranoid about wearing it now.
