Out of Proportion

Top: Old Navy, $15 // Jacket: H&M, $20 // Jeans: Forme, $20 // Boots: Forever 21, $26

While the feel of this outfit was just what I had in mind, the proportions were a bit off. I desperately wanted the jacket to be longer to balance everything out. A pair of wide-leg jeans would have done the trick, but - alas - I ran out of time to change. Oh well, the result was merely the illusion of an oddly short torso and long legs... there are worse things.

  1. i absolutely love that blue door that you frequently use as a backdrop for your photos! what kind of building has that beautiful door? i'd love to know, it just has so much character!

  2. Well I like it. The colors are what draw my eye first, rather than the proportions. It's funny how our own eyes perceive things.

  4. Like becca said, that blue door is magic :)

Love your outfit - the blue jeans with the pink top looks gorgeous on you and the polka dots break it up nicely :)

  5. I definitely think the colors and the polka dots are the stars here, they look great on you (and with that great door)! I do know what you mean about the proportions not working out quite the way you had in mind, I had very much the same thing happen to me the other day. I agree with Daily Fashionista though, I think maybe it's largely an issue of self-perception - I don't think these proportions look off at all.

  6. I think it looks great, I love those jeans on you. Those are one of those things that flatter very few people, but if you happen to be one of those people they look really cool!

  7. I actually don't find the proportions to be off at all! I love the whole combination, and it looks so stunning against that blue door.

  8. While it would look great with the alternatives you wanted, I also think it looks great as is! The proportions totally work. The necklace is what makes it all so great, I think.

  9. I love this jacket.
We seem to have the opposite body. I'm 5'2" with a super long torso and really short legs. Maybe we should switch legs :)
