Top: Britches, $10 // Skirt: Courtesy of Nosilla V. // Shoes: Lucky Brand via Rue La La, purchased with credit // Belt: Thrifted, $1 // Necklace: JCPenney, $10
I went for a monochromatic look yesterday by pairing this cheery yellow skirt with a matching tube top. A cropped blazer kept things modest for the office.
such a cute skirt! love the shade of yellow:)
ReplyDeleteI love the two yellow colors together! It looks great. BTW I don't know how you can ride a bike in the long skirt and those heels, but you look awesome doing it!

I have a bike I would like to sell and I don't live very far from Lawrence. It's a Schwinn Hollywood and its been in my barn for about 25 years. I would love to see it find a good second life like yours did! If you have any ideas, send them my way! I listed it on ebay and had watchers, but its costs like $150 to ship a bike.
ReplyDeleteWow, you can ride your bike in those shoes! I must admit, I have a hard enough time riding it in sneakers! (Only took up bike riding again a year ago or so after not doing it for over...15 years?)
ReplyDeleteLove the top, the color is great and the details of the top make it so unique.
I love that color on you! I especially love it when I see you using your thrifted items. Belt for $1? Where do you see that kind of thing nowadays?
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE this outfit. You're sunshine, embodied.
ReplyDeleteYellow! Awesome summer outfit, and love the last pic of you riding your bike!
ReplyDeleteKitty - Have you tried listing the bike on craigslist? Someone could pick it up, or you could offer to deliver it to Lawrence.

I'll admit, this was not the most practical outfit for bike riding, but it was a very short ride. :) If I'm going a longer distance, I ditch the heels.
Those shoes are perfection. Love!

I love the idea of mixing similar colored separates in the summertime. I do it a lot with skirt and tops, but for some reason I've always steered away from maxi skirts. Thanks for the inspiration!
