The London Look

Dress: Vintage via Beacon's Closet, $25 // Shoes: Forever 21, $25 // Necklace: Forever 21, $8 // Bag: Vintage, thrifted, $3

Rather than getting too caught up in the excitement of a new season and buying lots of stuff, I'm trying to shop my closet for trendy fall items I already own. After mentioning my obession with mod '60s dresses, I remembered this little number. I got it two years ago while visiting New York City and have somehow never worn it! I think I thought it didn't fit me right, or maybe its imperfections -- slightly yellowed color, snagged threads in some spots -- blinded me to its awesomeness. I must have been crazy, because I'm totally in love with it!

  1. I love how the shoes make your dress so fall-esque! The dress is so unique and it looks great on you! And that bag is incredible!!

Smart girl to make just a few new pieces expand your wardrobe options for fall.

Thanks! There are a few locations in New York. I got the dress at the Williamsburg (Brooklyn) location.

  9. I've been to that thrift store in NYC! It was the best! One of the only places to buy affordable vintage and used clothes. Awesome dress!

  10. I tend to shop my own closet too, it's fun to rediscover vintage gems that I'd forgotten about-- I also like that you are turning to vintage as a way to interpret the current trends.

Lovely bag, I have a hard time finding vintage purses that are big enough for my modern needs.
