On weekends, I tend to be pretty darn lazy when it comes to getting dressed. This outfit is comprised of pieces I often reach for (and wear together) when I want to be comfortable and casual but still cute.

Polka Party
Too much of a good thing? No such thing when it comes to polka dots! I love the mash-up of different scales in this mixed print outfit. Printed pants are popping up a lot lately in my wardrobe. They're becoming something of a staple rather than a statement-maker!

Kansas Couture Cocktail: Cranberry Clementine Rye
It's been a long time since I've shared a cocktail recipe on the blog, so here goes! This is one of my go-to cocktails because it's easy and always hits the stop. It's not too sweet, not too boozy and goes down a little too easy!
INGREDIENTS
-1.5 oz. Rye Whiskey
-1.5 oz. Clementine Soda (I get mine from Trader Joe's. Anything orange-y will do, but go for something juice-based, not Fanta or Orange Crush.)
-1/2 oz. 100% Cranberry Juice (The 100% cranberry is nice and tart and stands in for a citrus element. If you use sweetened cranberry juice, it will be a very different cocktail.)
INSTRUCTIONS
Simply place all the ingredients in a champagne glass and enjoy. If you want it nice and cold, you can serve it on the rocks in a cocktail glass or shake the whiskey and cranberry with ice and top the drink with the soda.

Lucky Duck
I don't always celebrate St. Patrick's Day to the fullest, but I decided to take the day off and do it up right this year. Of course, I had to don the customary color, so I wore one of the few green items I own, added layers for the chilly day and completed the look with a free Budweiser necklace. Classy!

Crimson & Clover
The last thing in the world I need is another red dress, but I was powerless to resist the scalloped hem and shift shape of this scarlet cutie. I intend to thin out my closet when I switch it over from winter to spring, so perhaps I'll part with some unnecessary dresses then. But this one is staying with me!

Jumpsuit: Part 2
The jumpsuit strikes again -- this time for an evening outing! I ditched the blazer, added a statement necklace and swapped out the heels for a dash of color. Easy peasy and party-ready!

Jumpsuit: Part 1
Don't you just love a good jumpsuit? They're effortless yet chic. They're simple yet statement-making. I always sing their praises...until I have to pee! They're well worth the hassle though, don't you think? They certainly make it easy to get dressed. Here I paired this little black number with a blazer and pumps for the office. Stay tuned for Part 2...

Good Sport
My style inclinations are far from sporty, but since it's a strong trend right now, I thought I'd participate a least a little with these athletic-soled oxfords. As usual, the yellow won me over. Plus, they're perfect for dog-walking!

Full Swing
With the weather warming up after a bitter winter, I have an undeniable urge to get outside and play! Of course, cute, comfortable shoes are a must. Luckily, my longtime friends at Loly in the Sky have delivered yet again with their darling spring shoe collection. How could you say no to these fun little face flats? It also seems appropriate that I'm wearing what appears to be a little schoolboy uniform, eh? See you on the playground!

Remember Me?
I didn't plan to take an embarrassingly long break from the blog, but between snow, cold, laziness, busyness, lack of inspiration, lack of light...it just happened. Excuses, excuses! Anyway, with Daylight Savings Time and warmer temperatures, things are on the up and up!
